The 2021/2022 ice fishing season is in the books and I want to thank everyone who fished with Jerad and myself. The conditions were absolutely amazing for getting around this season and the ice hung on for a little longer than last season. The walleye fishing continued to be pretty good on Lake Poygan but the story this winter was the perch on the entire system, especially Lake Winnebago. The year class of fish is incredible and tons of 13″ + fish came through the holes this winter. We should have some great perch fishing for years to come.
Bluegill fishing was also pretty steady all winter around the Wautoma area. Great size and a lot of fish were released this winter in order to keep building the lakes up.
I am now taking reservations for the spring river run and summer fishing on Lake Winnebago, Green Bay, the Wolf River, Fox River and small lakes in Waushara, Waupaca and Green Lake counties. So far its been a great start to the spring run with numerous walleyes being caught on their way up. The cold weather has delayed the big fish in DePere but over the next week or so we will start to see some big girls show up more consistently. Evening trips are available for Fox River giants. Soon to follow will be Oconto and Peshtigo.
If you’re looking to book a trip please reach out on facebook, email or text. Ill get back with you as soon as I can.
