Open Water Guided Fishing Trips |
|
I am a certified U.S.C.G Captain for the entire Great Lakes and Inland Federal Waters of the U.S. I primarily fish on the entire Winnebago chain, the majority of Northeastern and central to East central Wisconsin lakes. There are also a few lakes in the Crivitz and Minocqua area as well. If there is a lake you would like to fish just let me know, I'll see what I can do! A day on the water with me will be an enjoying fun filled learning experience. Feel free to bring a favorite beverage or whatever else your heart may desire. It is your day to have as much fun and relax as much as you want. I can assure you that catching the fish will only be one of many highlights throughout the day. |

| Fishing Report for October 09, 2007. After a couple of record setting weeks for temperatures, the fall weather has finally arrived and it looks like it is here for good. Monday we had temps of 87 degrees, Wednesday, 55. Need I say more? Fishing has been pretty unstable lately with the recent heat wave and strong south winds. It has been hard to even get out the past couple of weeks due to the wind. Guys are still picking up a few perch and bluegills out on Winnebago. I have been catching most of my fish in the river downtown Oshkosh and up in Winneconne. Dropper rigs with Berkley Gulp red worms has been my hot bait the past 2 weeks. Crappies, walleyes, perch and bluegills along with some catfish all seem to like the presentation of the gulp! Keeping it right off the bottom behind current breaks is very important. The crappies have started to show up in small numbers along the wood in the Wolf River but we need some cooler temps to really get them going as with everything else in the system. I will be busy the next couple of weeks traveling to Minnesota for a dealer show and then up to Lake Of The Woods for some fall Walleye and Muskie Fishing for a few days. By the time I get back we should be looking at some prime fall fishing conditions as long as the wind stays down. Look out Bays de Noc.....I will be looking to do a little trick or treating on the bay later this month and early November. Good luck around here and dont forget to check out the new articles and products coming out for the new ice season! Good Fishin', Mr.Bluegill
